Mary Lee Settle

Mary Lee Settle (1918-2005) is well known for her Beulah Quintet of novels: Prisons, O Beulah Land, Know Nothing, The Scapegoat, and The Killing Ground. Additional works include The Love Eaters, The Kiss of Kin, Celebration, Charley Bland, and Blood Tie, which was awarded a National Book Award in 1978. Turkish Reflections: A Biography of a Place was published in 1991, and her latest book is Addie.
